World 70.3 World Championships Lahti

For the World Champs the course was a little different to the annual 70.3 race with a hillier run and a slightly different bike course. The swim is a point to point in the lake ending in the harbour where you reach T1.

The swim was a dive or jump off the harbour wall and then onto a well marked swim. The day of the womens race it was postponed by 30 minutes due to fog.

The bike is super fast, generally there is a tail wind for the first part and then the course gets a little more rolling. The course can get a bit narrow when there are a lot of other athletes on the course.

The run was rolling with the first part of each lap uphill but the downhills are fast so watch your knees!

Overall a good course and chance of a PB.
