Ironman 70.3 Elsinore

Elsinore is a great race with a safe harbour based swim, a fast bike and well supported run course round the castle and the Danish town of Elsinore.

The swim takes place in the harbour which can be filled with jellyfish but don't panic they are harmless.

The transititions look fairly long but are quick and you're soon out on the bike leaving the town on good surface roads.

The bike is quick, there are some sharp turns but its generally rolling to flat so aim for that PB.

The run takes you around the castle and the town. There are 3 laps and then a well supported finishline on the quayside.

The after race area and expo weren't the greatest when we were there but there is a fantastic food hall at the quayside which is worth a visit.
